The NRCA Varsity Golf Team won their season opener against Cary Academy in a close one at Prestonwood on Tuesday 159-161. The Medalist for the Knights was Senior CJ Peterson with a 2-under-par 34. Austin Moon, Gantt Reasoner, and Tyler Peters also contributed to the WIN. The team plays Ravenscroft this Thursday at Hasentree.

A beautiful day and a HUGE WIN for the NRCA Varsity Golf Team as the Knights beat the Ravenscroft Ravens 302 to 318 in an 18-hole match at Hasentree. CJ Peterson earned match medalist honors with a magnificent 4-under-par 67. Gantt Reasoner, Tyler Peters, Haiden Tulp, and Eli Wofford also contributed to the win. Way to go Boys!!

Senior CJ Peterson led the NRCA Varsity Golf Team in their 18-hole match at Hope Valley shooting an even-par 70, earning match medalist honors. Battling strong winds and a tough opponent, the Knights fell 2 strokes short of the win against the Durham Academy Cavaliers 310 to 308. Gantt Reasoner, Austin Moon, Haiden Tulp, Eli Wofford, and Tyler Peters all scored for the Knights. The team will play in the Palmetto Championship next week.

Senior CJ Peterson won the Wesleyan Invitational Golf Tournament at Grandover Resort yesterday with a magnificent 1-under-par 71. CJ and his Varsity Golf teammates, Gantt Reasoner, Tyler Peters, Austin Moon, John Matson, and Haiden Tulp battled tough playing conditions, high winds, and fierce opponents earning the team a Top 5 finish in the 18-team field. In a tale of two nines, the NRCA Varsity Golf Team captured an important WIN against Cary Academy on Tuesday at PrestonwoodCC. Down by 4 strokes at the turn, but the Knights lit up the back nine to win the match 305-314! CJ Peterson led the Knights with a spectacular 3-under-par 69. Also scoring for the Knights were Gantt Reasoner with 75, Eli Wofford with 78 and Austin Moon with 83. Way to go Boys!

The NRCA Varsity Golf Team faced Heritage High School last Thursday on their home course and captured a 3 & 2 VICTORY in their annual Match Play event. CJ Peterson & John Matson, Tyler Peters & Colin Alexander, and Gantt Reasoner & Wyatt Mayer won their matches against a tough Heritage team to bring home the 3 & 2 WIN. Way to go Knights!!
